How to issue an eviction notice under the laws of Kenya

(Section 152 E LandAct),The registered owner (named on title deed) may issue a notice to the illegal occupiers of his property and serve the notice not less than 3 months before the date of the intended eviction.

Requirements for the Eviction Notice
:a.It must be in writing and in a national and official language i.e. in  Kiswahili and English.
b.If the invaders are a large group of people, the notice shall be published in at least 2 daily newspapers of nationwide circulation.
c.If the invaders are a large group of people, the notice should be displayed in not less than five strategic locations (easily seen by invaders) within the occupied land.
d.The notice should specify any terms and conditions as to removal of buildings, the reaping of growing crops and any other matters as the casemay require.
e.The notice should be served on the Deputy County Commissioner of the area as well as the officer commanding the police division of the area(OCS).f.It must be served to the illegal occupants at least 3 months before actual eviction takes place.
