(Section 152G)All evictions shall be carried out in strict accordance with the Cabinet Secretary of Lands Regulations and in any event with the following procedures;
i.First and foremost the people taking part in the demolitions or eviction must properly identify themselves e.g. identity card or passport, job card with photo etc.
ii.Before demolition or eviction, the formal authorization of the eviction or demolition must be produced e.g. court order, police authority, County authority etc
iii.Where eviction is of a large group of people, government officials (County and National) or their representatives have to be present duringthe eviction.
iv.The eviction is to be carried out in manner that respects the dignity, right to life and security of those affected (invaders and those carrying out the eviction).
v.Those carrying out the eviction should include special measures
1.to ensure effective protection to groups and people who are vulnerable such as women, children, the elderly and persons with disabilities as defined in the Persons with Disabilities Act.
2.to ensure that there isno arbitrary deprivation of property of possessions as a result of the eviction( i.e. stealing confiscating, damaging or destroying ).
3.to include mechanisms to protect property and possessions left behind involuntarily from destruction.
vi.The people carrying out the eviction should use force that is justified and only as necessary.
vii.Give the invaders and affected people the first priority to demolish and salvage their property
