20 Ways to Overcome Fear When Starting a Business as a Young Entrepreneur

Question from our reader.
What advice you can give me. I am young entrepreneur. I just started my business and I am afraid of the outcome. I need motivation.

The fact that you started your own business and that you have even taken the first step to start your business, is a good thing because you are way ahead of those who have not taken the first step.
Below are some steps you can take to overcome your fears.

1.Recognise your fears and choose to get past them.Self-doubt and fear are part of the journey - ALL of us feel that way at various times - it's good you recognize it - once you're aware of when fear creeps in - you can then CHOOSE to focus on getting past it.It's a process that with practice becomes easier most days - but don't think you are alone - we all feel it at different times. You just need to CHOOSE to move through it and get over each obstacle
2.Work on getting rid of fear.Entrepreneurship is like a rollercoaster, one minute we're on top of the world, the next minute we are fearful or depressed. This cycle continues as we progress.
You have to work on getting rid of that fear. Fear is crippling. If you don't get rid of it, or at least get it under control, you won't be able to be very success, unfortunately. You can start by NOT SPEAKING FEAR into your life. Words are like prayers. They are answered when we believe them. To state "I am afraid of the outcome" will most definitely bring about the outcome you fear. So, please, work everyday on positive thoughts and feelings towards your business.
3.Get that fear and defeat out of your mind.
4.Find some good positive affirmations you can repeat daily,
5.Get a clear mindset of your end goal.
6.Start making small steps.
7.Build on small success steps.
8.Be consistent with working your business and you will be successful.
9.Celebrate every triumph. celebrate all your wins no matter how big or small they seem more than your struggle
10.surround yourself with like-minded people who will help you reach your goals.
11.Set up a daily mindset routine
12.Acknowledge that the journey is a marathon not a sprint.
13.Know that diamonds are created under extremely high pressure and temperature.
14.Don't set yourself up for failure by imagining the worst, instead know that you're worth the ride and always believe inyourself even if no one else does and their opinion of yourself should not even botheryou.
15.Don’t be afraid to take messy action — meaning it doesn’t have to be perfect or you don’t have to feel ‘ready’, just start creating + connecting with people.
16.Start thinking of yourself as a business owner/entrepreneur/CEO! If you have a strong unshakable resilience, you have no option but to succeed!
17.Don’t hesitate to find mentors & leaders in your industry to look up to & learn from — it’ll be one of your best investments.
18.Don't put too much pressure on your business life. In the end it's really just business - I know that sounds weird especially if your income is dependent on that business. For example don't make a whole drama over small simple things that are nothing.
19.Be super patient with yourself and the business. It doesn't happen overnight. Take time to decide but don't take too much time. For example don't take super long to make small unimportant decisions. You can change everything in the process. So decide with what feels right and then move on.And then.. just keep going.
20.Make sure it's something you love doing and believe in. It will make the process a whole lot easier.
